In the water supply and water treatment industry, a variety of valves are used to control and regulate the flow of water, manage pressure, and ensure the efficient operation of treatment processes. 

• Butterfly valve: Compact and lightweight, making them ideal for large flow control applications in water treatment plants, distribution systems, and pump stations. They are used for isolation and throttling;

• Ball valve: Provide quick shut-off capabilities and are used for ON/OFF control in water supply systems, treatment plants, and distribution networks. They are versatile and available in various materials suitable for different water qualities;

• Gate valve: ON/OFF control of water flow. They provide a tight seal when fully closed and are suitable for large-diameter pipelines, water mains, and distribution networks;

• Globe valve: ON/OFF or regulate water flow, pressure, and temperature based on signals from control systems. They are used in water treatment processes, such as chemical dosing and filtration systems, to maintain optimal conditions;

• Check valve: Prevent reverse flow of water and maintain system integrity. They are crucial in preventing backflow in water distribution networks, pump discharge lines, and wastewater treatment systems;

• Air release (exhaust) valve: Automatically release trapped air from pipelines to prevent air pockets that can disrupt water flow and reduce system efficiency. They are installed at high points in water pipelines and distribution networks;

• Diaphragm valve: Use a flexible diaphragm to control flow. They are suitable for handling corrosive fluids and are used in chemical dosing systems and water treatment plants where precise control is needed.
