Wafer swing check valves SC74 were used for Desalination Plant in Maputo, Mozambique
Project Requirements:
The customer requires a wafer swing check valve suitable for a high-salinity seawater and outdoor installation in extreme low temperature. The valve must maintain reliable performance in high-humidity, highly corrosive environments. To ensure optimal sealing and extended service life, the supplier must select appropriate materials and design based on the working conditions.

● Given the extreme cold and corrosive conditions, Seallon recommends using a body and disc made of F304, which offers excellent toughness at low temperature and outstanding corrosion resistance against prolonged exposure to seawater. To further resist chloride-induced corrosion and improve sealing performance, Viton is selected as the sealing material due to its superior chemical resistance in seawater environments.
● In order to enhance the valve’s corrosion resistance and service life, we also perform epoxy powder coating on the body and disc, with the thickness of over 250µm.
● The wafer single disc design features a compact structure, simplifying installation and reducing space requirements.
