Flange double offset butterfly valves (SB42) were used in drinking water pipelines in Krasnoyarsk, Russia

Project Requirements:

The customer required double offset butterfly valves that would be suitable for drinking water. The suppliers should recommend suitable body, disc material & sealing material. Also, the customer required that the seat need to be surfacing anti-corrosion chromium-nickel alloy. Besides, the customer will equip with SA10.2 AUMA actuator later.

 Seallon`s Solutions:

● For body & disc material, Seallon chose ductile iron GGG40 with epoxy powder coating. Our epoxy powder is certified by WRAS, completely meeting drinking water standard. Also, the thickness of epoxy powder coating can reach more than 250 microns, so as to ensure effective corrosion protection.

●For seat, Seallon chose to surface SS304. It not only belongs to chromium-nickel alloy, but also have good corrosion resistance.

● For disc sealing, SEALLON chose to use EDPM certified by WRAS, completely meeting drinking water standard; for shaft sealing, maintenance-free bronze bushings with EPDM O-rings are chosen. It not only completely prevent the leakage from shaft, but also reduce maintenance cost in a long term.

 ●Additionally, SEALLON chose electric worm gear to reduce the valve torque to requested Nm, which ensures that the customer equip with SA10.2 AUMA actuator later.
