The HVAC industry employs a variety of valves to control the flow, pressure, and temperature of fluids and gases within heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems. 

•Ball Valves: Provide on/off control with a simple quarter-turn operation. Used in piping systems to shut off water, refrigerant, or other fluids;

•Globe Valves: Regulate flow with good throttling capabilities. Common in systems where flow control is critical, such as in chiller or boiler operations;

•Gate Valves: Provide on/off control with minimal flow restriction when fully open. Suitable for applications requiring infrequent valve operation, such as main supply lines;

•Butterfly Valves: Offer flow control with a simple quarter-turn operation, similar to ball valves but more suitable for larger diameters. Often used in large duct systems and cooling towers.

•Check Valves: Prevent backflow, ensuring the fluid flows in only one direction. Critical in pump systems and where backflow could cause damage or contamination;

•Regulating Two-way Valves: Flow control or ON/OFF control. Used to control the flow of water or refrigerant in heating and cooling systems, such as in chillers and boilers, regulate the flow of hot water or steam in radiators or underfloor heating systems;

•Regulating Three-way Valves: Flow Diversion and Mixing. They can modulate the proportion of flow between the two outlets or inlets, providing precise control over the mixture or distribution of fluids;

•Balance Valves: Flow Balancing, pressure regulation, flow measurement. Maintain consistent temperatures, improve energy efficiency, and reduce wear and tear on system components;

•Pressure-Reducing Valves: Reduce and regulate pressure within the system. Used in applications where maintaining a lower pressure is necessary, such as downstream of a high-pressure source.
