Tailor-Made SJ41-Pinch Valve for High-Wear Slurry Systems in Mining
Project Requirements:
Azerbaijan International Mining Company, intends to purchase customized pinch valves for use in a slurry transportation pipeline. The medium is a highly abrasive slurry mixture consisting of water and mineral particles generated during the mining and processing operations. The valves will be installed to regulate slurry flow under working conditions involving medium pressure and continuous operation. Each valve is required to have a nominal diameter of DN300 and a pressure rating of PN10. The customer emphasized the need for abrasion resistance, reliable sealing, and minimal maintenance. In addition, a custom valve body length of 750mm was specified to accommodate unique site installation constraints.

● Considering the highly abrasive nature of the slurry, we recommended a pinch valve structure, which offers excellent wear resistance and an unobstructed flow path, minimizing the risk of clogging and ensuring smooth flow control.
● The valve body is made of WCB, selected for its strength and durability in heavy-duty industrial environments, including slurry transport systems.
● The inner sleeve is made of NR+special abrazive resists covering Linatex, which provides superior abrasion resistance and elasticity, ensuring effective sealing and long service life under repeated compressions.
● The valve is a non-standard custom design with an overall length of 750mm (L=750mm), tailored to meet the customer’s specific installation space and piping layout requirements.
● The simple pinch valve structure allows for easy sleeve replacement and maintenance, reducing downtime and overall maintenance costs in remote mining environments.
● With a nominal diameter of DN300 and a pressure rating of PN10, the valve is capable of handling the required flow rates and pressure levels reliably throughout the mining process.
● The pinch valves are equiped with gear reducers and AUMA electric actuators.
