Butterfly dampers SB40 were supplied for the Thermal Power Plant in Kuznetsk

Project Requirements:

The customer intends to purchase flanged butterfly dampers for use at the Kuznetskaya Thermal Power Plant, where they will be installed to control the flow of high-temperature flue gas. Each valve has a nominal diameter of DN1590 and is rated for a nominal pressure of PN2.5. A certain level of leakage is acceptable under the operating conditions. The valves should feature a simple structure, offer easy maintenance, and support high flow capacity.

Seallon`s Solutions:

● The medium in the boiler flue duct is primarily high-temperature flue gas containing dust particles. It is generally non-corrosive or mildly corrosive, with low pressure and minimal sealing requirements. Therefore, we selected butterfly  dampers for the customer;

● Considering the medium temperature, the valve body material was chosen as CF8 stainless steel; 

● The butterfly damper has a simple structure with no complex internal components, making it well-suited for flue gas environments with high dust and particle content. It offers a long maintenance cycle and low maintenance costs; 

● Its simple structure and relatively light weight also make installation easy and convenient;

● The ventilation butterfly valve can be used to regulate flue gas flow. Different actuators can be used to control the valve opening, meeting various flow requirements during different operating phases. To facilitate future actuator replacement by the customer, we customized an ISO top flange bracket for the valve.
