U-shaped sealing knife gate valves SG73-A bidirectional were used for wastewater treatment plant in Minsk, Belarus

Project Requirements:
For supplying knife gate valves to a wastewater treatment plant, the body would be made of cast iron with protective coatings, the knife should handle the abrasive and sometimes corrosive nature of wastewater, solid particles were included. Seals and packing materials should be made from durable, chemical-resistant materials such as EPDM or PTFE, capable of withstanding the harsh conditions and maintaining a tight seal. The valves would be driven by bevel gears and electric actuators. Valves would be installed horizontally on pipes and channels.  The maintenance schedules included checking for wear and tear, ensuring proper lubrication, and replacing seals or packing as needed.

Seallon`s Solutions:
● Seallon highly recommended SG73-A, body of ductile iron GGG40 with Epoxy coating, polished disc of 304, seat of EPDM, packing of PTFE, which was very suitable for sewage; 
● We provided the platform on the top of the valve yoke under the electric actuator by GOST55510, тип Б, В, Г; 
● The U-shaped sealing design of the valve made the seat part not easy to accumulate sediment or impurities, and the wear-resistant rubber ensured the sealing grade to Zero Leakage;
● Customers were supplied of additional PTFE packing and EPDM seat for replacement in future maintenance.
