Welded triple off-set butterfly valves SB63 were used for Copper Smelting Production Line in Krasnouralsk, Russia
Project Requirements:
The customer required a triple offset butterfly valve that would operate seamlessly in high-temperature environments typically encountered in the smelting plants. The suppliers should recommend suitable stainless steel which would be capable of withstanding extreme temperatures till 750℃ and harsh operating conditions while ensuring reliable performance and longevity. The sealing grade was "A" (zero leakage). The valve would be equiped with electric actuator.
Seallon`s Solutions:
● According to the special working conditions, medium was high-temperature gas 450~750℃, we considered the valve body and disc made of 310S which could exhibit robust stability and oxidation resistance in high-temperature environments;
● Welding Stellite onto the valve disc not only enhances the triple offset butterfly valve's high-temperature tolerance but also improves its wear resistance during frequent operation, thereby extending its service life;
● The sealing materials we used 310S+STL (stellite), metal to metal, so that it could wear the high temperature and reach the sealing grade to Zero leakage;
● Additionally, we customized extending stems and heat dissipation fins to enhance the operational safety, high-temperature resistance, and long-term reliability of the valve and the electric actuator.
